William Oswald
COSHOCTON – William G. Oswald Sr. age 83 of Coshocton, Ohio died Tuesday February 28, 2017 at his son’s residence following an extended illness.
William was born May 21, 1933 at the family farm near Farmerstown, Ohio, Holmes County and was the son of Sanford and Edna (Dietz) Oswald. On March 14, 1950 he married Norma Jean Brown and she preceded him in death on March 15, 1998.
William was a master carpenter working for Sutton Construction of Coshocton, Ohio.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Interim Care Hospice 232 Chestnut Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
Graveside services were held Thursday March 2, 2017 at the Canal Lewisville Cemetery with Pastor Mike Jansen officiating. Free Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Surviving are 3 sons William G. (Cheryl) Oswald Jr., Jeffery (Sue) Oswald and David J. (Becky) Oswald; 4 grandchildren Amanda (Bill) Stufflebean, Lisa (Matt Gress) Murray, David (Jessie) Lauvray and Lynn (Tommy) Walters; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sisters Irene Scheetz and Loretta Yoder.
In addition to his wife William was preceded in death by a brother Wayne Oswald, sisters Marcille Cordes and Norma Herman
