Hopewell’s red team to play in state championships
COSHOCTON – The Hopewell Indians Red Team won its game on March 11 against Guernsey County 56-52 and then advanced to play the Columbus Comets Green Team on March 12. They won their second game that weekend 56-52 to be named the East Section Men’s Division 4 Champions.
The red team will play in the Special Olympics Ohio State Championships at 6 p.m. Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25 (TBA) at Bowling Green University.
Plans are in the works for a Main Street send off around 1 p.m. March 24.
