Pink Elephant Coffee Roasters
Small Batch Artisan Coffee Roasted in Holmes County, Ohio
At Pink Elephant Coffee Roasters we strive to bring fresh, artfully roasted whole bean coffee to the people of Local Bounty. We carefully source high quality single-origin green coffee beans from around the world and roast them in small batches to develop an exciting and elevated coffee experience.
THE COFFEE:
We believe in providing you with fresh, high-quality single-origin coffee which is sourced from the coffee growing regions of the world. By carefully choosing our green coffees from estates, small farms, responsible cooperatives, micro-lots, or from growers who are certified organic or Fair Trade, we not only provide coffee to people in Ohio; We provide a sustainable livelihood for growers and their communities.
No additives, no flavors, no chemicals: Just great coffee.
Our offerings change often as we rotate coffees with availability, seasonality, and supply. We tend to roast on the lighter side for coffees that are striking and unique with bright aromas and nuanced flavors.
Currently we are roasting green coffee beans from Colombia, Guatemala, Indonesia, and Tanzania. Roasted coffee is available in 16 and 8 ounce resealable bags.
Flying Pig Farm
We’ve still got a little bit of grass fed beef left. Pick up some ground beef, roast, grill cuts or soup bones this week. It’ll be gone soon until this fall! We’re also restocking our Walter’s Bug Spray. It’s a natural way to repel mosquitoes, flies and ticks from your animals, barns and people (even the little ones). We used it with great success for hiking, mushroom hunting and even spray it on the ground around our firepit for summer cookouts. Try a small size and come back for the big bottle!
Young Farms
Beef has been restocked in Ben Young’s freezer. Bulk hamburger, patties, steaks, roasts are all here.
Thanks for your patience.
Ben Young
Mullet Apiaries
Spring has sprung! Per the weatherman, by next weekend we are going to be in the low 60’s which means the bees will be out. If you hear buzzing, look up. The maples are in bloom and the bees will be collecting from this very important early pollen source. Pollen coming in means they will be building up their brood (babies) for the spring flow. But honey is flowing at the Local Bounty right now, so stop in and get yours. We appreciate your patronage!
Strawberry Hill Farm
Were bringing Erin’s bread and Mary’s cookies to the store Tuesday morning, and restocking eggs and strawberry jam. We’re also putting brochures on our shelves about our 2017 CSA (community supported agriculture program). We have slots available for this subscription program, in which you pay ahead and then receive a basket of fresh produce from the farm each week during the season. If you have questions you can call us at 740-545-7828.
Bob’s Pickle Patch/ Verda’s Hens
This week we will have sourdough bread, small cherry pies, and lots of free-range eggs. Even though it’s chilly, our hens are enjoying the pasture. A few of them have even been helping Bob get the ground ready for our potato patch.
