Smith, Philip001ARCADIA, Fla. – Philip Brendell Allen Smith, 24, died Wednesday, March 21, 2017.

He was born April 1, 1992 in Columbus to Carl Smith, Sr. and Brenda Tincher. He was a 2010 graduate of River View High School, and was working as a landscaper in Florida. He loved sports, tattoos, video games, music, and his family.

He is survived by his son, Jayce Smith; his mother, Brenda Vargas and step-father, Noel Vargas of Warsaw; his father, Carl Smith, Sr. of Columbus; three brothers, Dylan, Desmund Smith, and Carl Smith, Jr., all of Columbus; three sisters, Tanna & Tacara Smith of Columbus, and Jasmyn Smith of Newark; his paternal grandmother, Jacquilla Smith of Columbus; maternal grandfather, Gerald Jackson of Warsaw; aunts & uncles, Ben and Michelle Wells of Cleveland, Wayne & Kim Ely of Coshocton, Royce & Tamara Walker of West Lafayette, Ernest & Patricia Bircher of Tennesee, Vivian Shaw of Tennesee, Charles Hunt of Columbus, Martha Smith of North Carolina, & Jacquilla (Derrick) Bass of Columbus; and special cousins, Jessica Smith of North Carolina, Anna Ely of Coshocton,  Jesse Constant  and Stanley Constant II of Columbus; and many other relatives who loved Philip.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Joyce Jackson; and paternal grandfather, Philip Smith, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor David Fowls officiating. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until service time. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
