Local pastor opens store in mini plaza
COSHOCTON – Pastor Mark Arron has found a second way to serve the Coshocton Community.
Mark and his wife Tina officially opened their store Olivia’s Grace this month in the mini plaza on Second Street. The store will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and features a variety of items including pet supplies, makeup, jewelry, food, toys, cleaning supplies and much more.
“Our goal is to offer everybody in Coshocton and the surrounding area discount prices all the time,” Mark said.
Tina added that they wanted to give people another opportunity to shop in Coshocton.
“We need people to keep their money here in town,” Mark said. “To build Coshocton back up you need jobs and opportunities to shop. Everything here will be sold at a discount every day.”
Mark is the pastor at First Church of Christ on Otsego Avenue and retired from the U.S. Army.
“I have had nine back surgeries and can’t work, but I can use my head,” he said. “I’m a people person and one of the best ways to meet people is through retail.”
Mark started selling his merchandise on the internet and then moved to flea markets before finding out about the opening in the mini plaza.
“This is my baby,” he said. “I’ve worked since I was 11-years-old and lived on my own since I was 16. I can’t just sit still. My wife has worked in retail for 25 years so I’ll manage the store and she’ll run it. I think people will really be surprised by the volume of items we have in here and the variety.”
Mark hopes to add more merchandise for men and said that people are welcome to bring their pets in to shop with them.
