Carl ‘Pz’ E. Blair Jr.

Blair PicCOSHOCTON – Carl “Pz” E. Blair Jr., 72, of Coshocton passed away Monday April 3, 2017 at his home surrounded by family.  He was born in Coshocton on April 7, 1944 to the late Carl E. and Clara A. (Moody) Blair Sr.

USFlagSunlightHC1311_X_300_C_YCarl graduated from Coshocton High School in 1962 then served in the United States Army for three years before retiring from General Electric after more than 35 years of service.  He was a member of the Coshocton Eagles and the Coshocton Moose.  He loved playing golf, hunting mushrooms, sitting on the porch, attending classic car shows, but mostly spending time with his family and friends.  Carl was a simple man with a silent presence, and never knew a stranger.

He is survived by the love of his life, Carol Blair, whom he married March 13, 1965; daughters Carla (Steve) Aronhalt and Carlynda (Shane) Collins; grandchildren Logan (Jesslene) Pelfrey, Katie and Jared Collins, Amanda (Caleb) Anderson, Melinda Aronhalt; great grandchild Kallen Aronhalt; brother Jim (Tracy) Blair; sister Kate Mitchell; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful and loving dog, Lilly.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters Freida Brock, Mary Fortney, and Bonnie Blair; brothers Edward Blair and Russell Blair.

Per Carl’s wishes a cremation will take place and a celebration of life with be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be directed to The Coshocton County Animal Shelter, Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
