Roscoe Village to have art contest

| April 21, 2017

COSHOCTON – The Roscoe Village Foundation is having a Canal Era Art Contest open only to local artists. The purpose of the contest is to raise awareness of our local history and showcase the beauty of our heritage as depicted in the works of our local artists. The subject matter can be representative of either old or new Roscoe. Submission forms are available at the Roscoe Village Foundation Visitor Center or The Frame Shop. There are two age categories: 18 and older, and 17 and younger. Entry fees are $10 for each submission and a separate admission form must be filled out for each entry. Entry forms and fees are due by June 1, and art submissions are due July 1. Judging will take place throughout Member Appreciation Day on July 22. All members may vote on their favorite submissions, which will be on display in the Lock Landing banquet room on the lower level of the Visitor Center. Judging will end at 2:30 p.m. and the winner will be announced at 3 p.m. in the Lock Landing. For further information, contact the Roscoe Village Foundation Visitor Center at (740) 622-7644 or Shara Prindle at (740) 622-7800.
