Earth Day celebration held
COSHOCTON – The second annual CECA Coshocton Earth Day Celebration was held April 22 at the Coshocton County Career Center. Attendees were treated to music, a variety of kids’ activities, information on organic farming, recycling and much more. The Ohio Bird Sanctuary located in Mansfield also was there with several birds including this Red-shouldered Hawk (at left) that people were able to get an up close look at. One of the projects that children could make and take home was done at the Girl Scout Troop 669 booth. Kids were invited to decorate cut in half milk jugs with duct tape and plant flower seeds in them. Pictured (at right) helping a child with her project is Girl Scout Leader Tammy Lanham.
