Doris Kathleen Beymer
COLUMBUS – Doris Kathleen Beymer age 99 of Columbus, Ohio died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Free Funeral Home with Rev. James Long, Minister of Pastoral Care at First Community Church will be officiating. Friends may call from 2-3 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to services. Burial will be at the Branch Cemetery.
Doris was born Sept. 18, 1917 in Coshocton County, Ohio and was the daughter of James Henry and Lillias Ann (Cornell) Perkins. On Sept. 18, 1954 she married Donald C. Beymer and he preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1995.
Doris was a graduate of Coshocton High School in 1935 and attended Bliss Business College. She was then a legal secretary for the State Of Ohio for 34 years, and served as secretary for the Ohio Attorney General Office , retiring from the Board of Tax Appeals in October 1981.
She was a member of the First Community Church, Columbus, Ohio and was a member of the church supper club.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
