Children invited to Imagination Journeys at museum

| May 19, 2017

COSHOCTON – It’s summer time, a time for traveling and playing. Children ages 2 – 8 years are invited to take Imagination Journeys at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum on Tuesday mornings in June from 10 – 10:40 a.m. Each week, children will travel to a new place or a new time with the help of artifacts, books, songs and crafts. Their journey will begin by literally walking through a curtain to a new experience. Our first two destinations are the Silk Road in China and the ocean floor.

Youngsters will be divided into two groups according to age so that the program can be adapted to fit the appropriate age level. After the program, parents and children are welcome to explore the museum on their own for the remaining hour. Imagination Journeys is free, thanks to the support of the Coshocton Kiwanis Foundation. For more information or to make reservations, contact the museum at 740-622-8710 or email jhmuseum@jhmuseum.org. Reservations are appreciated.

The Ohio Arts Council also helped fund this event with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans. The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located in Historic Roscoe Village, at 300 N. Whitewoman Street, Coshocton.
