First pasture walk of summer scheduled

COSHOCTON – The first pasture walk of the summer will be Tuesday, June 27 at 6:30 p.m. The walk will be at the Josh Henderson Beef Farm just south of Plainfield. Henderson will highlight changes that have been made in his management over the past three years and resulting progress. Coshocton Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) Technicians Ryan Medley and Zach Wallace and Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) Soil Conservationist/ Grazing Lands Specialist will discuss the water system and recently installed heavy use pad.  Also, Christine Gelley, Ohio State University Extension Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator in Noble County, will lead discussion about forage identification and alternate forage species considerations.
