Bald Eagle program announced
COSHOCTON – Brad Perkins, executive director for the Ohio Forestry Association, will present an informational program; “Bald Eagles” on Monday, June 26 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Frontier Power Community Room at 770 S. Second Street, Coshocton. He will provide information on the reasons for the decline of Bald Eagle populations in the US in the 1900s and the recovery of the population from the 1980s to present, including current statistics and protections.
Perkins will share his personal experiences as a volunteer in the Ohio Division of Wildlife’s Eagle Nest Monitoring Program and stories concerning his experiences with three local Eagle Rescue Missions which he has been involved. He will have many pictures and tips for identifying eagles as well as information and locations of Coshocton County nests.
