Scott W. Simpson
COSHOCTON – Scott W. Simpson, 24, of Coshocton, OH and Madison, WI died July 14, 2017.
He was born on April 1, 1993 in Zanesville, OH, the son of Wes and Ann (Landschulz) Simpson. Scott graduated from Coshocton High School in 2011 and went on to study physics at The University of Wisconsin-Madison. During his time at Coshocton High School, Scott was a member of multiple athletic teams including soccer, swimming, and tennis. He was also a member of the marching band and Key Club. At the University of Wisconsin, Scott was a passionate member and founding father of the UW chapter of Delta Chi. Scott would always put a smile on your face. He was friendly to everyone he encountered and was a wonderful friend to many. He loved to tell jokes and discuss physics with anyone who would be willing to listen—and even to some who weren’t. Scott will be remembered as a smart, loving, goofy, caring, and passionate young man who was loved by so many people.
Scott is survived by his parents, Ann and Wes Simpson of Coshocton; his two sisters, Emily and Jenny Simpson; his maternal grandparents, Paul and Mary Ellen Landschulz of Coshocton; his many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his wonderful friends.
A celebration of Scott’s life was held on July 21st on Bois Blanc Island, MI. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home in Coshocton. Calling hours will be Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 2-5 pm at the funeral home. The memorial service will be held at the Presbyterian Church on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 2:00 pm (we will begin greeting guests at 1:30 pm), followed by a wake with close friends and family at the Simpson’s home.
