Roscoe to have Back to School Celebration

COSHOCTON – The Roscoe Village Foundation will be hosting a “Back-to-School Celebration” on Saturday, Aug 12, in Historic Roscoe Village for children 12 and under. Each child will receive a ticket to be entered into a drawing for a backpack full of school supplies and two Coshocton County Fair passes graciously donated by the Coshocton County Fairboard. From 11 a.m. – Noon, the children will go on a nature walk with Nate Mastnik, the new landscape manager for Roscoe Village. A light lunch will be provided from Noon – 12:30 p.m. Following lunch, there will be a visit from Phebe Denman Medbery and a craft workshop ending at 2:30 p.m. The cost to participate in the event is $2 per child for members and $3 for non-members. The drawing will be at 2 p.m.

Reservations are required no later than Aug. 11. Call Lynda Daniel or Mariah Ellenwood at 740-622-7644 ext. 20 or ext. 16. Please arrive by 10:45 a.m. at the Lock Landing, located on the bottom floor of Roscoe’s Visitor Center to prepare for the “Nature Walk”. After the Nature Walk, children will return to the Lock Landing for lunch, a visit by Phebe Denman Medbery and the craft workshop.
