State Farm donates school supplies to districts
State Farm agent Kyle Libby donated school supplies to the three county school districts on Friday, Aug. 11. Community donations made it possible to provide enough school supplies for many school-aged children in the county.
COSHOCTON – On Friday, Aug. 11, State Farm agent Kyle Libby donated school supplies to the three county school districts. The community donated money and made it possible to donate for at least 100 school-age children in each district.
“The community really wants to do stuff like this and they don’t know where to donate,” said Jessie Tubbs at State Farm. “They want to make sure their money goes to what they want it to go to.”
There were enough supplies for 100 school-aged children in Ridgewood, and 150 kids in both Coshocton and River View.
“Last year, we donated to Ridgewood,” said Tubbs. “This year, we were just going to do Ridgewood and River View, but we had enough money to include Coshocton as well.”
Teachers from each school district came to State Farm’s office in the plaza at 1 p.m. on Friday to pick up the school supplies which included pencils, pencil cases, erasers, folders, notebooks, and other supplies.
“It’s awesome because there’s a lot of expense that goes into what kids need,” said Denise Posey, kindergarten teacher at Ridgewood. “This is one thing parents don’t have to worry about.”
