Raffle raises money for Project Grinch Dust

| August 11, 2017

COSHOCTON – Eight years ago, Kim Fincher, pictured, and Ashley Bryant started buying Christmas gifts for Friends of the Homeless Shelter in New Philadelphia. Over the years, the gift-buying grew and out of that, the non-profit organization Project Grinch Dust was born. Fincher had this beautiful Grinch-themed quilt to be raffled off at the 30th annual Coshocton Canal Quilters’ Quilt Show on Friday, Aug. 11. “It’s amazing because otherwise, these kids probably wouldn’t get any gifts,” said Fincher. Currently, the organization buys Christmas presents for 45 kids at Friends of the Homeless and Harbor House. They also have a Christmas dinner for them and their families every year with ham and turkey and all the trimmings. Steph Metz, a member of the Canal Quilters, made the quilt.
