Casee Allen’s new album ranks in top 40 on country charts

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country singer and Coshocton High School graduate Casee Allen is climbing the country music charts as his newly-released album, “Double You” hit number 31 on the Country Top 40 Charts on iTunes.
“If you would have told me six years ago that I would be doing what I’m doing now and I’d be living here (in Nashville), I’d have called you crazy,” said Allen. “Hitting number 31 on the top 40 charts, it’s just awesome.”
Allen’s new album features more of his easy-going, fun time music with songs such as “She Ain’t That Girl Tonight”, “Hands” and “Shot of You”. There’s also a song dedicated to his son, Jace.
“It’s the same stuff I’ve been playing for a while,” said Allen. “I was never a songwriter, I just sang, but I found out pretty quickly that songwriting was something I needed to have here (in Nashville). I just started writing down thoughts that were on my mind. I think these songs reflect who I am on and off stage. I’m always smiling, always having a good time.”
Allen grew up in Coshocton and has been around music his whole life. However, he was never interested in having music as a career. He was very athletic throughout his school career and thought that is what he wanted to do. However, after both he and his brother experienced a serious breakup at the same time, they started playing guitar.
“It was just a fun hobby we kind of got into,” he said.
Allen started performing at parties, local bars, around the region and finally across the state. It wasn’t until he opened for country star Kip Moore that Allen caught his break.
“He told me, man, you need to drop whatever you’re doing and go for it,” said Allen.
Allen will be performing a homecoming concert in Coshocton on Saturday, Sept. 9 at Coshocton High School. Doors open at 6 p.m. VIP tickets are $25 and general admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased at Shelby Theaters and Sixth Street Tattoo.
“I’ve made a point to come back at least two to three times a year to do something and give back to a local charity,” said Allen. “If it wasn’t for the people in Coshocton spending their hard-earned money and supporting me, I wouldn’t have had the confidence to get to where I’m at now.”
Allen’s album is available anywhere you can download music. He plans to work on his next radio hit and try to keep climbing the charts.
“I want to give a shout out to my son Jace and my Uncle Tim,” said Allen “Those two people have a lot to do with what’s going on in my life right now.”
