Woman struck by semi truck

COSHOCTON – On Oct. 1, 2017 at approximately 8:11 p.m., the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an accident involving a pedestrian on SR 16 at the Whitewoman Street intersection. Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that Rose Angel Pahoundis, 37-years-old and from the Coshocton area, was struck and killed by a westbound semi truck driven by Stephen D. Hamilton, 51-years-old and from the South Shore, Ky. area, as she entered the roadway on foot.

Assisting at the scene were Coshocton Fire, Coshocton County EMS, REACT, and Coshocton County Coroner Dr. Robert Gwinn.

This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
