Reception held for bookmobile
COSHOCTON – The Coshocton Public Library held a reception on Oct. 12 to welcome its new bookmobile and thank those who helped fund its purchase. Cake was served inside the library and the bookmobile was out for people to tour. “We wanted to take the opportunity to thank the people who made this possible,” said Eric Taggart, library director. “This would not have happened without the generous people of this community.” When the bookmobile arrived on Aug. 31, library officials explained that about half of this project was paid for by local grants and donations and the rest was paid for with money set aside by former library director Ann Miller. Some of the area organizations and businesses who contributed to the bookmobile include: The Coshocton Foundation, Montgomery Foundation, Schooler Family Foundation, G. Saba and Sons Memorial Trust, Simpson Family Foundation, Coshocton Rotary Club, McWane Ductile-Ohio, Peoples Bank Foundation, Tom & Merle Leech Fund and the State Library of Ohio. “We are thrilled to death with the new bookmobile and couldn’t be happier,” said Kris Ringwalt, bookmobile manager. Pictured checking out some of the books on the bookmobile is nine-year-old Neil Scanlon.
