Remembrance tree up and ready for ornaments

| November 17, 2017

COSHOCTON – The Community Hospice Remembrance Tree is up and ready for people to have the names of their late loved ones placed on.

“Anyone can contact us and for no charge we will write their loved one’s name on an ornament and have it placed on the tree,” said Amy Foltz, RN and community liaison for Coshocton County.

The tree is located in the gazebo at the Coshocton County Court Square and will be up throughout the holiday season.

“Your loved one doesn’t have to have been from Coshocton County to have their name on the tree and they also didn’t have to be a patient of ours,” Foltz said.

She added that Community Hospice has a lot of people reach out to them every year about the tree and they receive plenty of positive feedback about this project.

“It’s nice to walk around the tree and see the names,” Foltz said. “It’s just beautiful and any memorial type activities we do people are so appreciative of.”

Community Hospice also is very thankful for the volunteers that make this project possible.

“There are so many volunteers that give of their time and are very much involved with this,” Foltz said.

To have an ornament placed on the tree, contact Kelsie Gunnoe, bereavement care coordinator at 1-800-947-7284.
