Crafters needed to help with Little Hats, Big Hearts program
COSHOCTON – If you enjoy knitting or crocheting, your talents are needed to help with the Little Hats, Big Hearts program.
Crafters are being challenged to make preemie to child size red hats that will be used by the American Heart Association to promote American Heart Month in February 2018.
Jessie Tubbs from Kyle Libby State Farm is coordinating a collection of hats from the Coshocton area. What she collects will be part of a Columbus area distribution and another local lady is working on hats for an Akron area distribution.
“This (giving back) is what we do at State Farm,” Tubbs said.
She has committed to making 60 hats for the project and welcomes anyone else to contribute what they are able to.
Hats are due prior to Christmas and must be out of cotton or acrylic yarn. They must be mostly red and can’t not have any accents such as buttons or bows attached to them as organizers fear they might become a chocking hazard. All accents must be crochet or knitted as part of the hat.

Hats need to be dropped off before Christmas at Kyle Libby State Farm in the Downtowner Plaza. The insurance agency is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
