CES students earn limo ride and lunch at Wendy’s

COSHOCTON – Coshocton Elementary School students who reached their fundraising goals got to go to lunch in style right before their Thanksgiving break.

On Nov. 20, third through sixth graders enjoyed a limo ride to Wendy’s for lunch and preschool through second graders had their turn on Nov. 21.

“They had to sell 12 items during our fall fundraiser and Clubs Choice, the fundraiser company we used, pays for most of the limo cost,” said Jennifer Milligan, PTO president at CES. “PTO covers the lunch but Wendy’s partnered with us and gave us all the students’ meals at 50 percent off and all the chaperones free meals. They also gave little gift bags to the kids. We had great success today (Nov. 20) for the lunch. The kids loved it and I was told that Wendy’s did an amazing job and was great with the kids.”

The trip to Wendy’s on Nov. 21 also was a hit.

“This was my first limo ride and I liked getting to go on it with friends,” said Saydie Porter, a first grader at the school.

The trip in the limo was also a first for her classmate Clayton Watson.

“It was comfy and I’m excited for lunch,” he said.

First graders Leeann Noon and Aubree Bantum both agreed that lunch was yummy and it was a nice change from eating in the cafeteria.

Fun and awesome were how they described the special treat.
