Paul E. Harstine

WEST LAFAYETTE – Paul E. Harstine of West Lafayette passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Coshocton Regional Medical Center.

He was born October 26, 1924 in Newcomerstown to John S. and Lydia (Bumgardner) Harstine. He was a graduate of Newcomerstown High School. He was a U.S. WWII Army veteran. He worked at General Electric of Coshocton as a Pressman. He was a member of West Lafayette United Methodist Church. He was a member of the West Lafayette Lions Club, lifetime member of Elks Lodge #1555 of Newcomerstown, and a member of American Legion Post #466 of West Lafayette for over 50 years.

On August 17, 1947, he married Bernice (Robinson) Harstine who passed away on November 13, 1997. He is survived by two sons, Edward J. Harstine of West Lafayette, Jeffrey P. (DeeDee) Harstine of Avon Park; two daughters, Mary K. Norman of Columbus, and Peggy S. (Stu Thompson) Mitchell of Warsaw; eight grandchildren, Travis (Alva) Harstine of Lake Placid, FL, Dallas (Kylea) Norman of Prescott, AZ, Beth (Rob) Sutton of Zephyrhills, FL, Misty (Tim) Siddle of West Lafayette, Angie (Brian) Huefner of Atlanta, GA, Jennifer (Nick Hahn) Laudick of Coshocton, Blake (Jesika Alverson) McKee of Warsaw, and Kelly Keefer of Zephyrhills, FL; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Harstine of Baltic; sister and brother-in-law Nellie and Edgar Lower of Bakersville, a sister-in-law, LaVonne Robinson of West Lafayette; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Carl and Wayne Harstine; two sisters, Delphine Harstine and Anna Davis; a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Harstine.

Services will be Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 1 PM at Addy Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Addy Funeral Home. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard.
