PROGRAM 60 event planned at Ohio State Newark
NEWARK – The Ohio State University at Newark is having an in-person help day for Ohio residents age 60 or older who are interested in experiencing a tuition-free lifelong learning opportunity at Ohio State Newark.
The event will be Tuesday, Dec. 12, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Office of Admissions and Advising located in Founders Hall, 1179 University Drive, Newark campus. The in-person help day will allow participants to become registered students for spring semester 2018, which begins on Jan. 8. 2018. A reservation to attend this session is necessary, and you must be registered for classes by Dec. 22, to participate in spring semester 2018.
PROGRAM 60 provides participants the experience of interacting with college instructors and students while attending classes on a noncredit/non-degree basis. Classes in PROGRAM 60 are on a space-available only basis.
There are no required assignments for PROGRAM 60 participants, and you are not required to purchase books and supplies. However, if the course has a course/lab fee, you will be required to pay that fee. You do not take exams or write papers unless you would like to do so. We do, however, encourage you to participate in class discussions.
