Beverly Kay (Couts) Kahoun

COSHOCTON COUNTY – Beverly Kay (Couts) Kahoun, age 59, passed away in the comfort of her home on Thursday, November 30, 2017.

Beverly was born in Cambridge on May 13, 1958 to William Joseph and Dorothy June (Eggleston) Couts. Beverly graduated from Newcomerstown High School and went on to work as a caregiver for a number of years at Riverside Nursing Home and Child Care Central. However, she considered her most important job to be being a mother to her children. Beverly loved her family and she loved people. She enjoyed music and reading. She valued her relationship with God and read her devotions daily. On July 4, 1990, she married her husband of 27 years, Ernest Kahoun.

Along with her husband, Beverly is survived by three children: Derrick Wilkin, Elivia Els, and Ethan Kahoun; one son-in-law, Matt Els, five siblings: Gladys Johnson, Roger Couts, Shirley Kenney, Janet (Bud) Rawling, and Cathy (Chuck) McIntire; her father, William Couts, five grandchildren, two grandpuppies, Watson and Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.

Beverly is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Couts, son, Heath Wilkin, and two sisters, Mildred Gipe and Pamela McMahon.

Per Beverly’s wishes, a cremation will take place followed by a Celebration of Life at a later date where the family will greet friends and family.
