Commissioners discuss hydrological station property hay production bids
COSHOCTON – The commissioners met on Wednesday, Dec. 27 to open and discuss bids for the hydrological station property which they are leasing for hay production. There were three bids presented.
The first bid was from Rick Mullet at $1,000 per year. Matthew A. Stein of Stein Farms LLC had a bid of $14,000 per year. Rodney Adams of RTA Fresno LLC had a bid of $11,676. All bids were turned over to the county commissioners for their consideration and recommendation.
The property is located in Crawford and White Eyes Township at the intersection of State Route 621 and County Road 190. It is approximately 400 acres with about 200 of those acres available for hay production. The lease will allow the successful bidder to use the property for hay production only. It is a one-year lease renewable for five years. Each bidder also had to provide liability insurance at the time of the bid.
The commissioners plan to announce the successful bidder during a meeting at the beginning of the year.
The commissioners also approved and reviewed:
-Receive the litter activity report for the fourth quarter 2017 from Mike Carroll, Coshocton County Litter and Recycling Prevention.
– A motion to approve the bills per computer printout dated Dec. 27, 2017
– A motion to sign a plan amendment and summary of material modification to amend the Coshocton County Commissioners Health and Welfare Plan effective Jan. 1, 2018 to set a maximum per prescription co-pay for specialty drugs at $300 maximum per script for plans A and B and to be $300 per script for plan C once the deductible has been met to increase the calendar year maximum benefit per person for class I, II, and III services combined to $1,500.
– A motion to sign resolution 2017-51 permitting the payment of finance charges and/or late fees for the 2018 calendar year for the Coshocton County Juvenile/Probate Court.
– A motion to accept the resignation of Zachary Perigo as full-time paramedic at the Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services effective Jan. 4, 2018.
– A motion to accept the resignation of Mark Arnold as an intermittent part-time EMT at the Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services effective Dec. 21, 2017.
– A motion to approve a 2018 blanket meeting request for the Veterans Service Commission members and staff to attend home visitations, military funerals, meetings, and conferences throughout the 2018 calendar year.
