ALDI undergoing renovations

| February 12, 2018

COSHOCTON – Remodeling at ALDI on South Second Street will lead to the store temporarily being closed in April, but it will reopen with a fresh new look at the end of May.

“Renovations at our Coshocton store are part of our $1.6 billion nationwide plan, announced last February, to update more than 1,300 U.S. ALDI stores by 2020,” said Corey Stucker, ALDI Hinckley division vice president.

More than $34 million will be dedicated to remodeling 21 stores in Columbus and the surrounding area.

“The remodeled Coshocton store will deliver on customers’ desire for a modern and convenient shopping experience with a focus on fresh items, including more robust produce, dairy and bakery sections,” said Stucker. “As with all new and remodeled ALDI stores, it will also feature open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally-friendly building materials – such as recycled materials, energy-saving refrigeration and LED lighting.”

ALDI has served the Coshocton community for 25 years. It currently operates more than 1,700 U.S. stores in 35 states, serving more than 40 million customers each month.

“With the growth plans we recently announced, we’re excited to bring the ALDI difference to 100 million customers by the end of 2022,” Stucker said.
