The Coshocton County Board of Commissioners, which is a public body, intends to submit a Proposal for a capital grant under the provision of 49 USC Section 5310 of the Federal Transit Act to provide transportation service for the elderly and disabled within Coshocton County (593.91 square miles). The grant proposal will request one (1) Modified Mini Van, if available. Additionally, the Proposal will seek funding for Mobility Management services.

A public meeting will be 10 a.m., February 26, 2018, in The Commissioner’s office, 401½ Main Street, Coshocton, OH. This meeting is in a handicapped-accessible location; other accommodations will be made as requested.

It is projected that that approximately 675 unduplicated individuals, mostly elderly, developmentally disabled, handicapped, low-income, social service recipients and veterans, will use the service weekdays for various activities, including transportation to medical appointments, mental health counseling, shopping, work assignments, appointments to assist with daily living needs and adult day workshop.

The Coshocton County Board of Commissioners invites comments and proposals from all interested public, private, and paratransit operators including taxi operators, for the provision of transportation service to the elderly and disabled within our service area. Operators who are interested in offering proposals to provide service should contact Nic Carey, Consolidated Mobility Manager, at Coshocton County Coordinated Transportation Agency, 401 Main Street, Coshocton, OH 43812 to obtain full details of the type of transportation service that is needed prior to preparing a proposal.

Comments or proposals must be submitted within 30 days to the agency above at the above address with a copy to the Ohio Department of Transportation, Office of Transit, 1980 West Broad Street, Mail Stop 3110, Columbus, Ohio 43233; Attention: Administrator.
