Chamber auction to start March 16
COSHOCTON – The Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce annual online auction will be live Friday, March 16 at 9 a.m. and ends Saturday, March 24 at noon.
“I am super excited about the donations,” said Amy Stockdale, executive director of the chamber. “There’s so much to choose from. There are lots of gift cards, fun baskets, overnight stays, marketing and advertising, and different memberships to organizations. We have some really nice packages.”
There are hundreds of items donated to the auction with more coming in each day. This is the only fundraiser for the chamber.
“All the money raised goes into our marketing fund which markets all of our businesses,” said Stockdale. “It markets Coshocton County as a whole community.”
To view and bid on items, go to www.coshoctonchamber.com and click on the link on the right-hand side of the page, which will take you directly to Peddicord Rice Auction Realty site where bidders can register, get a bidding number and start bidding.
“What’s nice about the online auction is they can share their maximum bid at the start or they can watch what they’re bidding on throughout the week,” said Stockdale.
Volunteers give their time to go out and ask for donations for the auction each year. Those volunteers are: Carly Thompson, Jaime Crawford, Shantelle Coffman, Jackie Dickerson, Shannon Scott, and Sherri Gibson.
“The chamber has a group of fantastic auction volunteers who go out into the community and ask for donations,” said Stockdale. “If it wasn’t for them, this wouldn’t happen.”
Debbie Ford, project coordinator for the chamber auction, also helps Stockdale tremendously.
“She takes this project and makes it her own,” said Stockdale. “I’m so grateful to her.”
Winning bidders can pick up their items beginning Monday, March 26 at 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Items will be available for pick up for one week.
“Please bid,” said Stockdale. “It’s a lot of fun and all the money stays here locally.”
