Church hunt to feature thousands of Easter Eggs
COSHOCTON – Thousands of Easter Eggs will be scattered across the former Central Elementary School lot for children of all ages to find.
The River Coshocton Church is hosting what they believe is the biggest Easter Egg Hunt in Coshocton County at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24.
“We will be putting out more than 4,000 candy filled Easter Eggs,” said Pastor Zachary Weber.
People can arrive at 1:45 p.m. and there will be three hunts going on at the same time. One is for children 1-2-years-old, the second is for 3-5-year-olds and the third is for 6-12-year-olds.
“When they get there they will see where they are supposed to come into the field, which will be marked off and is right across the street from the church,” Weber said.
The event also will feature giveaways, drawings and a Gospel message.
“A lot of people from the church give financially (to help with this) or buy something such as toys,” Weber said. “We have very generous people.”
They also willingly give of their time.
“With everyone at church helping it only took us about two hours to fill most of the eggs and we have another 500 that our youth group will work on,” Weber said. “We do so many because we invite the whole city to come.”
This is the second year for the church’s giant Easter Egg Hunt.
“We love people and want to bless people in the community,” Weber said. “The people that came had a lot of fun.”
Attendees are asked to please bring a basket or bag to place their eggs in.
“It’s going to be a fun event and I’m looking forward to seeing everybody,” Weber said.
The River Coshocton Church is located at 212 S. Seventh St. The Sunday morning service, also known as The Main Event, is held at 10 a.m.
