ASHLAND – Ashland University senior forward Andi Daugherty became the third player in Eagle women’s basketball history to score at least 2,000 points in a 92-68 win over Indiana, Pa., in an NCAA Division II national semifinal on March 21 in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Daugherty ended her collegiate career with 2,015 points and 923 rebounds, both third-most in Ashland women’s basketball history. Her 398 career assists are fourth-most in program history, and the highest career total for an Eagle forward.

Daugherty and fellow senior forward Laina Snyder set a new NCAA Division II women’s basketball record with 138 career games played.

A starter on Ashland’s 2016-17 national-championship team, Daugherty is the only Ashland College/University student-athlete to be named CoSIDA Academic All-America three times, and the only player in Ashland women’s basketball history to be named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Defensive Team four times.
