Coshocton City School District receives Ohio Department of Education Momentum Award

COSHOCTON – The Coshocton Elementary School and the Coshocton City School District were recognized at the Ohio School Boards Association’s Southeast Region Spring Conference.

The conference took place at Coshocton County Career Center in Coshocton on March 27.

The Momentum Award is presented by the State Board of Education and recognizes schools for exceeding in student growth for 2017. Schools must earn straight A’s on all value-added measures on the report card. The school district must have at least two value-added sub-groups of students, which include gifted, lowest 20 percent in achievement, and students with disabilities.

The Southeast Region is comprised of 18 counties representing 84 school districts.
