Robert Haines, Jr.
MILLERSBURG – Robert “Bob” Haines, Jr., 52, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 surrounded by his family.
He was born Aug. 21, 1965 in Coshocton to Robert E. and Ada L. (Randles) Haines. He was a 1983 graduate of Coshocton High School, and he served in the US Navy on the USS Midway. He was the co-owner and President of IPS in Millersburg, a member of the Millersburg Eagles #2418, Millersburg American Legion Post #192, and Barnsville Buckmasters.
He was the Deerassic Classic Cornhole Tournament Champion 2 years running and an avid outdoorsman, but his greatest achievement was his family. He was very generous and giving, supporting many food pantries and individuals in need. Bob was a master of the grill. Nobody ever left his house hungry!
He is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Tracy (Chapman) Haines of Millersburg, whom he married July 23, 1988; two sons, Ryan (Alyssa) Haines of Killbuck, and Ashton Haines of the home; a daughter, Katelyn (Marcus) White of Millersburg; a grandson, Knox A. Haines; his mother, Ada Haines of Coshocton; a sister, Kathy (Elino) Julian of Croton; a brother, Clarence “Matt” (Susie) Haines of Charlotte, NC; two nephews, Joshua Julian of Croton, and Guy Julian of Centerburg; a niece, Morgan Haines of Charlotte, NC; a sister-in-law, Kayla Chapman of Conesville; several cousins; and two loyal canine companions, “Riser” & “Tucker”.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Haines; and a sister, Victoria Gale Haines.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Rod Uhlig officiating. Burial will follow in Coshocton Co. Memory Gardens, with graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard.
