Volunteers clean up at Lake Park

| April 10, 2018

COSHOCTON – Snow on the ground didn’t keep volunteers from attending the annual Lake Park Cleanup Day on April 7. “It (the snow) will hamper us a little,” said Park Director Lori Everhart. “We might not be able to pick up as many sticks and limbs, but the flower beds can still be racked. At least it’s not raining.” Volunteers were treated to lunch at the pavilion. “We couldn’t clean up the park by ourselves,” Everhart said. “We have a limited staff and appreciate any help from volunteers.” She added that there are several ways park patrons can help keep the park clean throughout the year. “Bring a bag with you when you walk and pick up litter and always clean up after your pet while at the park,” Everhart said. “You also can stop at the park office anytime and we can give you some specific areas that need weeded.” Pictured are members of the Hooves, Hands & Hearts 4-H Club, which dressed warm and did as much work as they could around the canal boat.
