Pendola earns All-Ohio honors

AUSTINTOWN – Nine Baldwin Wallace University women’s track and field student-athletes, including River View High School graduate Bella Pendola, were named to the 2018 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Pendola, who earned her first Academic All-OAC selection, is a neuroscience and psychology double major who carries a 3.66 grade point average. The distance runner is a dean’s list student and a Jacket Scholar. This season, she earned outdoor All-Ohio honors in the 5,000-meter run (third) and indoor All-Ohio honors with a first place finish in the 5,000-meter run. Pendola recorded season-best and career-best times in the indoor 3,000 meter run with a time of 10:30.41, indoor 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:09.69 and an indoor distance medley relay time of 12:57.94.
