Country star Casee Allen releases new single

| June 8, 2018

COSHOCTON – Coshocton County native, Casee Allen, has made quite a name for himself in the country music industry with hits such as “Double You” and “Shot of You”. In mid-May the rising star released another single that is climbing the country music charts. “I Want My Number Back” was inspired by a break-up that Allen experienced shortly before moving to Nashville to pursue his country music career.

“It’s one of those things that everyone has been through,” said Allen. “Almost everyone has had their significant other who’s been talking to someone else behind their back. I didn’t want it to be a cry in your beer kind of song either. I wanted it to be more about redemption.”

The song was written by Allen and Jerry Jacobs, and produced by Allen. It was recorded on Music Row in Nashville.

To accompany the song, Allen shot a music video on a boat docked on Apollo Beach in Florida. The boat is owned by D Productions in Tampa, who is most famous for producing songs by Plies, a popular rap artist in the mid-2000s.

“It was really fun,” said Allen. “Once we got all the tough acting done, I told everyone to have the most fun party you can think of.”

Shooting the video was a three-day process and the video has been streamed more than 20,000 times.

“This is the most success I have had of a single since ‘Shot of You’ was released,” said Allen.

Allen said he would like to thank his son, Jace, God, and all of his fans for their love and support.

“I also want to thank my hometown for giving me confidence to leave and get it done,” he said.

Allen has been touring the country non-stop this summer and plans to have another single released by August.
