Children get up close experience with Spinosaurus

| June 21, 2018

COSHOCTON – These three children got an up close look at Spiny the Spinosaurus, who was the guest of honor at a special Coshocton Public Library event held June 19 at Roscoe United Methodist Church. The Carnegie Museum Traveling Show called Spinosaurus Encounter was hosted by Dr. Dino. With the help of Dr. Dino, attendees were able to dig through the layers of the earth to learn about the Spinosaurus’ habitat, what it ate and how big it was. The show lasted 45 minutes and was geared toward students in kindergarten through sixth grade. According to Deborah Crowdy from the library the program was made possible through generous donations from businesses and organizations in the community.

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!
