Maintenance work being done at Playvilion

| July 20, 2018

COSHOCTON – The Lake Park Playvilion is receiving a facelift.

Varns Sandblasting is power washing all of the equipment, staining everything that is natural wood and painting everything that is painted including the tables and trash cans outside of the playground area.

“The Playvilion was built in 1997 and it’s been an average of every six to eight years that we do maintenance work on it,” said Lori Everhart, park director. “NewPointe Community Church did its community impact project there a few years ago, but it’s starting to show its age from that too.”

Work was started on July 16 and is estimated to take until July 27 to wrap up, weather permitting.

“Varns is going to try to work on certain sections at a time and only close those areas to people, but when spraying starts they will have to close Playvilion then,” Everhart said.

The maintenance project will cost $15,000 and is being paid for out of the Playvilion Maintenance Fund at the Coshocton Foundation.
