Marjorie Gayle Dreher

WEST LAFAYETTE – Marjorie Gayle (Richmond) Dreher, passed away peacefully into glory at her home in West Lafayette, on Friday, August 10, 2018, 13 days shy of her 96th birthday.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Gayle (Geese) Richmond, sister, Thelma Sharrock, and her husband of 66 years, Vernon K. Dreher who died in 2007. Marjorie and Vernon were married on Christmas Day in 1940. She was a wonderful homemaker and a hardworking farm wife. Her joy was spending time with family, sewing and making quilts which she gave to every family member.

She is survived by her four children: Leslie (Larry) Herchline of Dublin, OH, Dan (Candy) Dreher of Marion, OH, Douglas Dreher of Houston, TX, and Darla (Dave) Markley of West Lafayette, OH; nine grandchildren: Laurel Linner, Lowell (Jenny) Herchline, Michelle Miller (Mike Stuckey), Dane (Lori) Dreher, Deanna (Greg) Urasek, Derrick (Jenny) Dreher, Evie (Matt) Collins, Dana Markley (Tyler Jolivette), and Drew (Brianne) Markley; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at West Lafayette United Methodist Church on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. with calling hours prior to the funeral from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
