Century National Bank to host community shred day

COSHOCTON – Century National Bank is hosting a community shred day on Saturday, Aug. 25. The event will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. at the bank’s Coshocton North office located at 229 N. Third Street.

“We are proud to bring this service to the Coshocton County area,” said Rebecca Porteus, vice president at Century National Bank. “Shredding your confidential documents helps prevent identity theft, which is more important than ever in today’s world.”

The event is open to the public and there is no cost. The bank kindly requests a limit of three boxes per household and no businesses.

“Everyone is encouraged to gather their medical and tax records, bank statements, legal documents, and any other documents containing confidential information that may not be needed any longer and bring them to our event,” said Porteus. “Everything collected during the event will be shredded on-site, and all the shred will be recycled, therefore, protecting the environment.”

The process to drop off shred material will be simple and quick. Drive up near the shred truck where a bank associate will meet you at your vehicle and unload your shred for you. Once unloaded, your documents will be placed in the truck’s shred machine and shredded on-site.
