COSHOCTON – The Coshocton Canal Court Committee is seeking candidates for the 2018 canal queen, princess, and junior queen, to be crowned at the 49th annual Roscoe Apple Butter Stirrin’ Festival in October.

Eligible queen candidates include 15-19 year-old female Coshocton County residents (or attendees of Coshocton County schools). Princess candidates are 10-14 years of age, and junior queen candidates 5-9 years old. Only the queen has specific travel responsibilities, although the rest of the court will be invited to attend several events. Upon successful completion of her reign, the queen is eligible to receive a scholarship.

Applications are available at the Roscoe Village Visitor’s Center, or by e-mailing a request to coshoctoncanalcourt@gmail.com. Deadline for the queen and princess applications is Sept. 20. Junior queen applications are due Oct. 5. Any questions can be directed to the previously listed e-mail, or via text to 740-502-1105. The Coshocton Canal Queen, Princess, and Junior Queen contests will be held on the main stage in Roscoe on Oct. 20.
