No fall season is complete without a trip to the pumpkin patch. Schumaker Farms, family-owned since 1806, offers hayrides on weekends, a petting zoo, games, straw maze, corn box, corn maze for kids, hamster wheel, and more. Group wiener roasts and hayrides are also available ($5 per carload). Pick up some locally grown produce, gourds, pumpkins, straw, corn stalks, mums, and delicious homemade cookies at the farm market, open daily now through the end of October.

Prepare to “Beer A-mazed!” The Wooly Pig Farm Brewery is pairing with McPeek’s Mighty Maze to offer craft beers hidden within the giant corn maze. At this fall, over-21 event, wander through the twisty lanes and blind passages of the four acre corn maze at McPeek’s Mighty Maze. In hidden corners, discover the secret treasures of the maze: Craft beer.

Enjoy a festive evening from 8 to 11 p.m. at the historic Lake Park Dance Pavilion, a beautifully restored 1930s big band dance hall. Music will be provided by the Lake Park Big Band. Dance to the sounds of Sammy Kaye, Glenn Miller and others from that era. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and beverages. Call for tickets.

“Wine Your Way Out!” is a wine tasting event inside a giant corn maze brought to you by Raven’s Glenn Winery and McPeek’s Mighty Maze. It all starts with a hayride to the giant corn maze. Enter the maze and find wine stations featuring eight bottles of wine from Raven’s Glenn Winery paired with cheese or even chocolate. Finish the night with a good time around a campfire. You can even make s ‘mores. The event is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person or $30 for designated drivers.
