Coshocton Foundation awards six grants

COSHOCTON – The Distribution Committee of the Coshocton Foundation had their final meeting for Fiscal Year 2018 recently and awarded six grants totaling $82,000 to several community organizations. The grants awarded include:

  • $46,000 to the Coshocton County Coordinated Transportation Agency to allow for the purchase of Software to Improve Public Transportation options throughout the county
  • $12,500 to Coshocton Business Development Foundation to assist in Adding Security Cameras at Coshocton High School
  • $10,400 to Kids America, Inc. to support plans for expanded Parking Lot Construction
  • $5,000 to the Coshocton County Commissioners to assist with the purchase of Trash/Recycling Receptacles at County Buildings
  • $4,500 to Coshocton is Blooming in support of an expansion of community floral displays to include Live Plants & Shrubs for Winter
  • $3,600 to the Coshocton County Health Department and Maternal & Child Health Center to Provide for Childbirth Education Classes in Coshocton County

The Coshocton Foundation was established in 1966 and has distributed nearly $8 million in grants to community organizations from its Unrestricted Fund.  In addition, the Foundation has 160 Restricted Funds from which distributions are made for specific purposes.  More information about the Coshocton Foundation can be found at www.coshoctonfoundation.org.
