Evelyn Lucille Moran

COSHOCTON – Evelyn Lucille (Whitney) Moran, age 81, formerly of Coshocton, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018.

Evelyn was born in Little New York, NY on September 22, 1936 to the late Harry LeRoy and Lillian Virginia (Cutright) Whitney. Evelyn was a homemaker and a self-made entrepreneur. She was very family-oriented and raised not only her 5 children, but a few of her grandchildren as well. She was a great cook and an avid reader who loved gardening, canning, and listening to country music. Evelyn was an aspiring writer and passed that passion along to some of her family as well. She also loved horses and the countryside.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Becky Goodrich, 14 grandchildren, among which are her twin granddaughters Melissa and Amy, whom she raised; numerous great-grandchildren, and her two sisters, Ruth Miller and Mary Sue Widner.

Along with her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by her ex-husband who she had been married to for 35 years, Clarence Moran, two brothers, Jack and Anon Whitney, four children: Bonnie Smith, Donald Kaser, Connie Kaser, Sharon Middaugh; one grandson, Jason, and her great-grandson, Connor Higgins.

Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 10 am to 12 pm. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday at 12 pm with Pastor Jim Gross officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Glenmont, OH.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Evelyn’s grandson, Daniel, for the times he took care of her, and also to Christopher Mickens for caring for Evelyn during the last two years of her life.
