Drug sweep of county performed

COSHOCTON – On Sept. 20, the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office along with the Ohio State Patrol conducted a drug interdiction sweep of our county. This sweep entailed a heavy saturation of more than 20 deputies, troopers, detectives, OSP Air Division and K-9 units for a 12-hour period. This drug interdiction sweep generated significant numbers of enforcement that include:

170 traffic stops

19 Enforcement stops

151 non-enforcement stops

6 seat belt citations

5 OVIs (2 believed to be drug related)

3 Felony Drug Cases

1 Felony Fleeing and Eluding charge (in relation to a brief pursuit)

4 Misdemeanor Drug Arrests

4 Warrant arrests

147 Warnings

This drug interdiction is another example of the continued effort by both our agencies on the war on drugs.
