Tech Tuesday Class scheduled

| February 19, 2013

COSHOCTON – The Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their next Tech Tuesday class on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 8 a.m. at COTC. The speaker this month will be Joe Welker, IT Audit Manager from Rea & Associates.

During the class, Welker will discuss issues involving online security.

“Times have changed,” Welker says.  “It used to be that entities only had to be concerned with internal security but the strong push to ‘cloud’ computing and our dependence on the internet has caused additional concerns for small and large entities alike.”

“Joe will provide real life examples of why we all need to be concerned about the security of our internal data,” states Amy Stockdale, Executive Director of the Coshocton Chamber of Commerce.

Topics that will be covered in this one hour class include internal/external fraud; online banking and password complexity; anti-virus software and its importance in the equation; and disaster recovery.

Tech Tuesday class is $5 for Chamber members and $10 for non-Chamber members. Call the Chamber office at 622-5411 to register.
