Area youth running for canal royalty

COSHOCTON – The Coshocton Canal Court Committee will be hosting the 2018 Canal Queen and Princess competitions Saturday, Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. on the main stage in Roscoe Village. This year, four area teenagers vie for the queen title, and three young ladies are competing to be the new princess. The Canal Junior Queen Contest will be held earlier in the day from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Canal Queen Contestants

Lydia Dawson is the 15-year-old daughter of Wes and Dawn Dawson. She is a sophomore at Coshocton High School.

Sophia Meiser is the 15-year-old daughter of Tony and Amanda Meiser. She is a sophomore at Coshocton High School.

Madison Moran is the 18-year-old daughter of Larry and Amy Moran. She is a senior at River View High School.

Lynsey Stonebraker is the 16-year-old daughter of Ron and Amy Stonebraker of Coshocton. She is a junior at Coshocton High School.

Canal Princess Contestants

Jazlene Brown is the 10-year-old daughter of Dustin and Casey Brown. She is a fourth grader at Coshocton Elementary School.

Brianna Fink is the 10-year-old-daughter of Denny and Amanda Fink. She is a fourth grader at Coshocton Elementary School.

Emmilia Flores is the 14-year-old daughter of Jessie Tubbs and Scott Flores. She is a freshman at Ridgewood High School.

Canal Junior Queen Contestants

Nora Harstine is the 6-year-old-daughter of Russell and Karri Harstine. She is a first grader at Coshocton Elementary School.

Natalie Huston is the 9-year-old daughter of Denise and Sam Stotts and Bill and Wanita Huston. She is a fourth grader at Conesville Elementary.

Layla Moore is the 9-year-old daughter of Kim McDonald and Mitchell Moore. She is a third grader at Ridgewood Elementary.

Kenzie Roach is the 6-year-old daughter of John and Jody Roach. She’s a first grader at Conesville Elementary.

Sophia Sellers is the 5-year-old daughter of Josie and Eric Sellers. She is a kindergartner at Keene Elementary.

Kinsley Smith is the 7-year-old daughter of Kim McDonald and Michael Smith. She is a first grader at Ridgewood Elementary.

Jamie Starner is the 8-year-old daughter of Jarome Starner, Caitlyn Freeman, and Kyle and Leslie Ridenbaugh. She is a second grader at Coshocton Elementary.

Karli Stickdorn is the 8-year-old daughter of Ryan and Mandi Stickdorn. She is a third grader at Keene Elementary.

Teigan Taylor is the 5-year-old daughter of Diann and Rich Thomas. She is a kindergartner at Conesville Elementary.

Pressly Wise-Sturtz is the 7-year-old daughter of Tiffany Wise-Stine and Brandon Sturtz. She is a second grader at Ridgewood Elementary School.
