| October 22, 2018

COSHOCTON – On Thursday, Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m., Ken Harbaugh, candidate for Congress in Ohio’s 7th District, will attend the annual “Meet the Candidates Night” hosted by Coshocton Business and Professional Women at the Coshocton County Career Center.

Harbaugh is running on a platform of openness and accessibility. He has hosted more than two dozen town halls in recent months in all 10 counties of the OH7 Congressional district and attended hundreds of open to the public events. This stands in stark contrast to the incumbent, Rep. Bob Gibbs, who has hosted just one open event this year.

“Democracy works best when we show up,” said Harbaugh. “We need leaders who understand of the needs of everyday Ohioans.”

The event will be a forum for the community to have the opportunity to learn about the candidates and gain a better understanding of the issues and how they will impact our area.

Harbaugh is a former Navy pilot and an Ohioan who has made public service his life’s work. He grew up in a military family, the son and grandson of Air Force combat pilots. When it was his turn, Harbaugh joined the Navy where he flew reconnaissance missions in the Middle East and off of North Korea. Following his naval service, he earned a J.D. from Yale Law School and co-founded a nonprofit that empowers military men and women to keep serving in their communities. Harbaugh is the past president of Team Rubicon Global, a disaster relief organization that has helped train over 50,000 veterans to deploy in emergency response teams around the world.
