Six in custody after drug raid
COSHOCTON – At the time of this release, six adults, four females and two males, remain in custody at the Coshocton County Justice Center after a drug raid in the 400 block of North Second Street.
On Nov. 1, 2018 at approximately 2:51 p.m., detectives executed a buy bust of two females in the city of Coshocton. Soon after this bust, they executed a search warrant in the 400 block of North Second Street, where two more females and two males were taken into custody.
While detectives searched the residence, they located a large amount of a powder substance that is suspected to be Fentanyl, a very dangerous narcotic. Due to the nature of this extremely dangerous substance, Coshocton Fire, Hazmat and Coshocton County EMS were called to the scene. Hazmat assisted in securing this dangerous narcotic and remained at the scene until the search of the residence was complete.
Recovered in the search warrant were cash, firearms, drug manufacturing equipment and a large amount of suspected Fentanyl.
The names of those taken into custody will be held until the filing of formal charges.
Assisting detectives with this search warrant were the Coshocton County’s SRT and K9, Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office, Coshocton City Fire Department, Hazmat, Coshocton County EMS, and REACT.
This drug raid is yet another example of our continued fight on the war on drugs in our community.
