RVHS to host honors music festival

WARSAW – The eight schools which comprise the East Ohio Athletic League will send their top musicians to River View High School on Monday, Nov. 19, to collaborate in an honors music festival.

Participating schools include Cambridge, Coshocton, Dover, Marietta, Meadowbrook, New Philadelphia, River View, and Zanesville. The band will be directed by Dr. David Turrill from Muskingum University and the choir will be directed by Coshocton’s own, Charles R. Snyder. Both vocal and instrumental students will spend the day studying literature selected by the clinicians.

A final concert will be presented to the community at 7 p.m. in the River View High School auditorium. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students. The community is invited to attend.
